Prime Industrial Components is an ISO 9001:2015 certified brass inserts manufacturer. Multi-stage inspection protocols at every step of production — from raw brass through threading, knurling, finishing and packing — ensure every insert that leaves Jamnagar meets international standards.
Quality is built in, not inspected in — but every batch passes through four independent checkpoints before dispatch.
Free-cutting brass per IS 319 Type I / BS 249 Type I verified against mill test certificates before each lot enters production.
CNC operator checks at first-off and last-off — dimensions, thread profile, knurl depth — on every machine.
Go/No-Go thread gauge inspection on a statistical sample of every batch — to international thread standards.
Dimensional re-inspection, plating thickness verification, and corrugated-box packing of 1,000 pcs per box.
Specific inspections performed in our QC lab on samples from every production batch.
Every insert thread is verified against Go and No-Go gauges set to international thread standards. Out-of-tolerance threads are rejected and the lot is held for re-inspection.
OD, ID, and overall length are measured with calibrated micrometers and vernier callipers on a sample size proportionate to lot size. Critical dimensions are recorded.
Where customer specifications require, sample inserts are tested for pull-out resistance and installation torque. Results are recorded on the batch traveler.
Plating thickness and surface finish are visually and instrument-checked. For specific finishes (nickel, chrome, tin), thickness is verified against customer specification.
The internal diameter after threading is inspected to ensure the close tolerance specification — preventing molten plastic flush from entering the insert during molding.
Knurling patterns (diamond, straight, unidirectional, helical, left-right) are inspected for correct profile and depth — critical for retention performance in the host material.
Indian standard for free-cutting brass rods — the primary raw material for our brass inserts.
British equivalent standard for free-cutting brass rod and bar — used interchangeably or per customer specification.
British standards covering copper alloy rods and forgings — available for thumb screws and special applications.
International alloy designations equivalent to IS 319 / BS 249 — for buyers specifying brass by chemical composition.
All major thread standards supported in-house. Threads inspected to Go/No-Go international standards on every batch.
Our overarching quality management system, externally certified. Drives the multi-stage inspection workflow described on this page.
Request sample units for evaluation — we'll ship to your QC lab for thread, dimension, pull-out and plating verification before you commit to a bulk order.
